Cesarean sections pose a risk of infection to the mother. After surgery, mothers should watch out for signs like swelling, discharge, and high fever. The infection could be internal or external. If external, mothers may just experience symptoms like pus and swelling. If internal, mothers may experience fever and flu-like symptoms. If the internal infection spreads to the bloodstream, mothers can develop Septicemia. If Septicemia is not properly treated, mothers can experience septic shock. This condition requires immediate medical attention to avoid serious injury.
